Electra 45 - 5 blade Reel Cartridge

The 5-blade reel is for mowing at 1.5" to 2" or higher. 
We recommend the 5-blade cartridge for the first cartridge. Mowing with this reel is a good all-round choice. A great selection in the springtime when the grass is kept longer to recover from winter damage. Or during extended drought periods then mowing at 1.5" to 2 inches is recommended. Mowing over 2 1/2" can be flattened by the front roller. Creating an inconsistent finish. The Front Roller should be replaced with the Tall Grass Wheels. If parts of the lawn continue to stay flattened, then the Groomer Cartridge can be used to cut the longer horizontal blades.   

 The Swardman Lawn Reel Cartridge is designed and manufactured for years of tough service. The 5 mm blades and blade carriage are laser cut from steel sheet. Blades are individually bent into shape in a jig, fitted and welded into the reel carriage. The shaft cut, turned and finished. The Knife bed is laser cut and machined and ground flat. Cover is stamped from steel sheet and braked into shape. All parts are inspected, racked, degreased, Powder coated by hand. Then cured and baked a temperature to ensure a tough and durable finish. The Coated Reel is jigged and sharpened on a CNC grinder. Final Hand Assembly of each Reel Cartridge ensures the proper clearance is set. Then a Serial number and label is assigned before packaging. Our Cartridges are completely manufactured at our Factory.
